The Beauty of Fellowship

I am so incredibly thankful for all the things God does in my life- especially the fellowship He has provided for me throughout my whole life.

I'm going to be completely honest- I don't know where this post is going. Tonight our youth group had a new gathering called "Second Sunday" and I knew I wanted to blog when I got home. Whenever I leave any fellowship function, my heart is so incredibly full and tonight did not disappoint. So tonight- "Second Sunday"- this is going to serve as a chance for students of all ages (freshman to senior) to get to come together once a month in fellowship getting in the word together. It is such a blessing how many opportunities of fellowship God has currently placed in my life. My week is packed with fellowship and it is truly the greatest thing ever.

Some may ask- why is fellowship so important? To put in the words of Buster Brown, "when you are alone, you get weird." You may have an incredibly sound relationship with the Lord, but eventually you are going to slip and fall and you won't have someone there in flesh to encourage you and lift you up. Ecclesiastes 4 says, "two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow". How encouraging is that?! This is why fellowship is so important.

I'm so incredibly lucky and thankful that God had it in His plan for me to put multiple spiritual sisters in my life. It is so amazing to be able to confide in other believers who understand what I am going through and can uplift me. We can all celebrate with one another. When one of us is down, we are a shoulder to cry on and send prayers right away.  Another cool thing about these sweet sisters of mine is that we are from all different places. Between the eight of us, we go to five different schools and yet talk everyday. We pray for each other. We share scripture.

If you've ever been on the fence of getting into a relationship with another brother or sister, dive on in. It is so incredibly rewarding. Praise the Lord that He did not design us to live this life alone, but with other brothers and sisters rejoicing in the fact that one day we will bask in the glory of the kingdom of God.
